Recording Consent
Your rights as a participant in recorded sessions.
Key rights
- You must consent before being recorded. No speaker is ever recorded without explicit consent.
- You can withdraw consent at any time by leaving the session or switching to listener mode.
- You can request deletion of a recording that includes your audio by contacting privacy@aria-live.app.
What gets recorded
- Only audio from consenting speakers is included
- Listeners are never recorded (they don't transmit audio)
- Chat messages are not included in recordings
Visible indicators
When a session is being recorded:
- A RECORDING badge is visible to all participants
- Speakers receive a consent prompt before their mic activates
- All participants are notified when recording starts or stops
External recording prohibition
Recording Aria sessions through screen recording, external microphones, or third-party tools is strictly prohibited. See Recording Protection for the technical measures Aria uses.
Jurisdiction
Aria notifies all participants of recording status regardless of location. Creators are responsible for complying with recording consent laws in their jurisdiction.
