Appeals

We believe in fair enforcement. If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you have the right to appeal.

What you can appeal

You can appeal any enforcement action, including warnings, suspensions, content removals, and account terminations.

Exceptions: Permanent bans for CSAM or credible threats of violence are not eligible for appeal.

How to appeal

In-app

  1. Go to Profile > Settings > Strike History
  2. Select the action you want to appeal
  3. Tap Appeal
  4. Explain why you believe the action was in error
  5. Submit

Email

Send your appeal to appeals@aria-live.app.

What to include

  • Your Aria username
  • The specific enforcement action you're appealing (e.g., "7-day suspension on March 1, 2026")
  • Why you believe the action was taken in error
  • Any supporting context

Timeline

  • Appeals are reviewed within 48 hours
  • If not reviewed within 48 hours, the appeal is automatically escalated
  • You'll receive a push notification and email when resolved

Outcomes

Appeal approved

The enforcement action is reversed. Any associated strike is removed. If your account was suspended, it's reinstated immediately. For creators, paused subscription billing resumes.

Appeal rejected

The enforcement action stands. You'll receive a written explanation. Each action can be appealed once.

What we consider

  • Context — Was the content taken out of context?
  • History — First-time issue or part of a pattern?
  • Severity — Borderline or clearly prohibited?
  • Automated errors — Was the action triggered by AI that may have misclassified content?

For copyright-related enforcement (DMCA takedowns), use the counter-notification process described in DMCA. The general appeals process does not override DMCA procedures.
