In-Session Chat

Rooms and sessions have a built-in chat for text messages during the conversation.

How it works​

Tap the chat area to send a text message visible to all participants in the room or session. Messages appear in real time alongside the live audio.

Ephemeral messages​

Chat messages in sessions are ephemeral — they are not stored or retained after the session ends. Once the room closes, the messages are gone.

When to use chat​

  • Ask a question without interrupting the speaker
  • Share context or links relevant to the discussion
  • React with text when emoji reactions aren't enough

Not included in recordings​

Session chat messages are not included in session recordings. Recordings capture speaker audio only.
